What is Karting and Where Did It Come From?

Karting is a fun and exciting sport where people drive small, fast cars called go-karts on special tracks. Go-karts are low to the ground and have four wheels, making them feel like tiny race cars. Anyone, from kids to adults, can try karting!

Karting began in the 1950s in the United States. A man named Art Ingels, who built race cars, made the first go-kart using simple parts and a small engine. It was a hit, and soon people everywhere wanted to try it.

Over time, karting grew into a popular sport. Today, it’s not just for fun but also a training ground for future Formula 1 racers, like Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, who started their careers in go-karts.

Whether you're racing for fun or dreaming of becoming a pro, karting is an exciting way to experience the thrill of speed!
